It was the kind of sadness that seemed too big for one person to bear. Jill hesitated, her feet rooted to the ground at first. Other civilians at the park didn’t seem to pay him any mind. They just passed him like he wasn’t even there. And the ones who took notice looked at the homeless man with disgust.
