Jonathan eventually had to lock Sally in a cage, something he did with pain in his heart because it reminded him of the shelter. Sally was supposed to get easier to handle, not harder. “What is wrong with you?” Jonathan spent the rest of the day wandering around the house until the doorbell rang.
