Getting Tom on board
The bear’s turned its head instantly when Maya spoke those words. Tom hesitated but nodded, slowly getting convinced that Maya might be right. “All right,” he said reluctantly. “If it’s leading us somewhere, we’ll go. But everyone else stays here in the boat.” Tom started the engine and followed the animal.
