Faith intervened
John needed someone who was either foolish enough or brave enough to enter his garden willingly. And as faith might have it, that foolish and brave person simply walked in the heat of the action without even noticing it. John didn’t even have to wait long because just a few minutes after the police call, that person arrived. John was still vigorously looking through his address book when he heard a voice coming from his backyard.
