They needed a way to safely remove the wild cat from the tree. The animal had the advantage of being on higher ground as long as it sat there, but they also wanted the animal to remain in John’s garden. If it got out, it could easily enter someone else’s backyard and terrorize more people. Simply removing it from his property wasn’t going to solve anything. “We need to get authorities involved somehow.”
