“Hello? Is this the police station? I think there’s a burglar in my neighbor’s shed,” Bob said, his voice trembling but steady enough to sound convincing. The operator asked for the address, and Bob gave it to her without hesitation. This time, the police took the situation seriously, and the operator assured him officers were on their way. Bob hung up, his hands still shaking. “They’re coming,” Bob told John, who nodded grimly.
