Understanding the leopard’s behavior made John feel a little less shaken. The animal hadn’t been aggressive, likely because it was accustomed to captivity within the zoo. People came in contact with this animal daily, feeding it and checking it up. “It was just trying to rest up,” John said to Bob later. Both men felt a sense of closure, knowing the creature was now in safe hands where it belonged.
